Main purpose of the role
To be a key member in our Corporate & Commercial team, providing a first class service to our clients on a range of commercial matters. This includes small to medium enterprises and some larger corporations. The team seeks to involve all members in client relationship building and business development.

Hours
9.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with flexibility required outside those times on occasion. We are working in a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days within the office.
The opportunity
Joelson is a thriving commercial law firm based in the West End of London, with 60+ people.
Principal duties:
• Assisting with a wide variety of commercial transactions and/or associated issues.
• Drafting, amending and negotiating documents in respect of a wide range of commercial matters including manufacturing agreements, distribution agreements, services agreements, website and trading terms and conditions, privacy policies, franchise agreements, website hosting and development agreements and many other related matters.
Advise clients and internal stakeholders on commercial law issues, including intellectual property, data protection, compliance, and risk management.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure policies, processes, and contracts remain compliant with relevant laws and standards.
• Assisting with commercial due diligence elements of corporate deals.
• Participating in business development initiatives.
Getting involved with a variety of Firm-wide committee initiatives to help support the culture and promotion of the Firm and its services.
Practice overview:
The team handles a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. Our team is particularly active in the leisure, food and beverages sectors, though it also handles matters in other areas.

Our clients include start-ups, entrepreneurs, SMEs and large multi-national companies. We regularly assist clients who want to establish businesses in the UK, whether for the first time or as part of a group arrangement. We also advise on terms of trade and contractual agreements, raising finance, undertaking acquisitions or disposals, and listings on the capital markets in the UK.
Ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong academic record;
- 2-8 years experience working in Commercial law;
- Experience working within a busy and fast-paced administrative role;
- An outgoing, enthusiastic and confident manner;
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing;
- Strong organisation and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively;
- The ability to see matters through with a good eye for detail;
- A friendly and personable approach with colleagues and clients;
- A proactive and growth mindset towards achieving goals;
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and an ability to pick up new systems quickly;
- The ability to work effectively to deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in client acquisition, business development.
