About our Virtual Insight Day

Our Insight Day is a half-day programme designed to give students an introduction to life at Joelson and the legal profession.

During the session, you will learn more about our firm, the work we do across our practice areas, and the different pathways into a legal career that we offer. You will hear from members of our team, gain insight into the realities of working in a commercial law firm, and have the opportunity to receive answers to any questions you may have about Joelson, the legal profession, and career opportunities within the sector.

Whether you are considering a future career in law or simply want to learn more about the profession, our Insight Day offers a valuable opportunity to develop your understanding and discover what a career at Joelson could look like.

  • How To Apply

    All applications must be submitted via the application portal on our website. Please do not send applications directly to HR, Partners, or other members of the firm, as we operate an anonymised recruitment process designed to promote fairness, minimise bias, and ensure all candidates are assessed consistently. Following submission, applications will be reviewed by our Recruitment Team, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted regarding the next stage of the process.

  • Eligibility Requirements

    You are eligible to apply if you:

    · Are studying law;

    · Have already graduated with a law degree;

    · Are studying a non-law degree;

    · Have already graduated with a non-law degree; or

    · Have started an SQE preparation course.

  • Recruitment Process

    The application process will consist of the following:

    Applicants will only be asked to provide some basic information when applying. Please note that places are limited, and applications may close once we have reached our maximum number of participants.

    We do not have fixed dates for our Virtual Insight Days. Details of upcoming Insight Days and application information will be published on our website when available. We anticipate holding our next insight day in April 2027.

    No, the Insight Day is an educational programme and is unpaid.

    No. The programme is designed for students who are interested in learning more about the legal profession, regardless of their previous experience.

    Will attending the Insight Day improve my chances of securing a Vacation Scheme or Training Contract?

    Attending the Insight Day does not guarantee progression to any future recruitment process. However, it provides valuable insight into Joelson and the legal profession, helping students make informed decisions about their future careers.

    Is there a limit on the number of places available?

    Yes. Places are limited and offered on a competitive basis.
